۞ And Allah hath said: take not two gods; He is only One God so Me alone, Me dread. 51 And His is all that is in the heavens and on earth, and to Him [alone] obedience is always due: will you, then, pay reverence to aught but Him? 52 Whatever bounties you have are from God. When hardship befalls you, you begin to cry out to Him. 53 Yet when He has delivered you from affliction, some of you ascribe companions to your Lord 54 that they may show ingratitude for what We gave them. So, take your pleasure, you shall soon know. 55 They give to unknown images a share out of the sustenance that We gave them. By God, you will be questioned about that which you have falsely invented. 56 And they ascribe daughters to Allah, glory be to Him; and for themselves (they would have) what they desire. 57 and when any of them is given the good tidings of a girl, his face is darkened and he chokes inwardly, 58 He hides himself from the people because of the evil of that which is announced to him. Shall he keep it with disgrace or bury it (alive) in the dust? Now surely evil is what they judge. 59 [Thus it is that] the attribute of evil applies to all who do not believe in the life to come - whereas unto God applies the attribute of all that is most sublime: for He alone is almighty, truly wise! 60
