In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Ta-Ha. 1 We have not sent down the Koran upon thee for thee to be unprosperous, 2 But only as a Reminder to those who fear (Allah). 3 A revelation from Him Who created the earth and the high heavens, 4 the Most Gracious, established on the throne of His almightiness? 5 all that is in the heavens and the earth and all that is between them, and all that is underneath the soil. 6 Be thou loud in thy speech, yet surely He knows the secret and that yet more hidden. 7 Allah - there is no god but He. His are the most excellent names. 8 Has the story of Moses reached you? 9 Lo! he saw a fire [in the desert]; and so he said to his family: "Wait here! Behold, I perceive a fire [far away]: perhaps I can bring you a brand there from, or find at the fire some guidance." 10 And when he came to it, he was called, "O Moses, 11 Surely I am your Lord, therefore put off your shoes; surely you are in the sacred valley, Tuwa, 12 and I have chosen thee [to be My apostle]: listen, then, to what is being revealed [unto thee]. 13 "Verily, I am Allah: There is no god but I: So serve thou Me (only), and establish regular prayer for celebrating My praise. 14 The Hour of Resurrection is coming. I have willed to keep the time of its coming hidden so that everyone may be recompensed in accordance with his effort. 15 So do not let those who do not believe in it and follow their vain desires, turn you away from it. 16 “And what is this in your right hand, O Moosa?” 17 "It's my staff," he answered; "I lean on it, and fell leaves for my goats with it, and I have other uses for it." 18 "Throw it down, O Moses," said (the Voice). 19 So Moosa put it down – thereupon it became a fast moving serpent. 20 God said, "Take hold of it, and have no fear: We shall return it to its former state. 21 "Now place thy hand within thy armpit: it will come forth [shining] white, without blemish, as another sign [of Our grace,] 22 “In order that We may show you Our great signs.” 23 Go to the Pharaoh; he has become a rebel." 24
