The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ AR-RAHMAN 1 Taught the Quran. 2 He created the human being 3 Has taught him the knowledge of the past and the future. 4 The sun and the moon are made punctual. 5 and the stars and the trees all prostrate themselves, 6 And the skies has He raised high, and has devised [for all things] a measure, 7 so that you [too, O men,] might never transgress the measure [of what is right]: 8 Give just weight and do not skimp the scales. 9 And the earth! He hath lain it out for the creatures. 10 Therein are fruit and palm-trees sheathed. 11 and grain in the blade, and fragrant herbs. 12 Which then of the bounties of your Lord will you deny? 13 He created man of fermented clay dried tinkling hard like earthen ware, 14 and He created the jinn from smokeless fire. 15 Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny? 16 He is the Lord of the two easts and the Lord of the two wests. 17 (Jinn and mankind) - which of the favors of your Lord do you then deny? 18 He has set flowing two seas that appear to meet. 19 There is a barrier between them. They encroach not (one upon the other). 20 Which, then, of your Sustainer's powers can you disavow? 21 Pearls and coral-stone come forth from them. 22 O which of your Lord's bounties will you and you deny? 23 And His are the lofty ships that sail like [floating] mountains through the seas. 24 Which, then, of the benefits of your Lord will ye twain belie? 25
