Incontestable (Al-Haaqqah)
52 verses, revealed in Mecca after Kingship (Al-Mulk) before The Heights (Al-Ma'aarej)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ The indubitable event! 1 What is the concrete reality? 2 And what will make thee realise what the Sure Reality is? 3 The tribes of Thamud and A’ad denied the event of great dismay. (The Day of Resurrection) 4 As for Thamud, they were destroyed by the outburst. 5 and the Ad were destroyed by a furiously raging wind-storm 6 that He subjected upon them for seven nights and eight days consecutively and you might have seen them struck down as if they were the stumps of palm trees that had fallen down. 7 Then seest thou any of them left surviving? 8 And Pharaoh, and those before him, and the Cities Overthrown, committed habitual Sin. 9 And they disobeyed their Lord's Messenger, so He punished them with a strong punishment. 10 But We bore you away in the Ark, when the waters rose high, 11 so that We might make it a reminder for you and so that attentive ears might retain it. 12 With the first blast of sound from the trumpet, 13 And the earth and the mountains are borne away and crushed with a single crushing. 14 then, on that day, the Terror shall come to pass, 15 And the heaven will split asunder, for that Day it (the heaven will be frail (weak), and torn up, 16 On its fringes will be angels, eight of them, bearing their Lord's throne aloft. 17 On that Day you will be brought to judgement and none of your secrets will remain hidden. 18 So whoever is given his book in his right hand he will say, “Take, read my account!” 19 Surely, I knew that I should meet my reckoning," 20 So he will be in a pleasant life - 21 In a lofty Paradise, 22 with clusters of fruit within easy reach. 23 We shall say to him, "Eat and drink joyfully as a reward for the good deeds you did in days gone by." 24 But he who is given his record in his left hand will say, "If only I had never been given my Record 25 And knew not what my reckoning! 26 Oh, would that this [death of mine] had been the end of me! 27 "Of no profit to me has been my wealth! 28 and my authority has been destroyed' 29 [Thereupon the command will go forth:] "Lay hold of him, and shackle him, 30 then cast him in the Fire, 31 And then insert him in a chain whereof the length is seventy cubits. 32 Verily he was wont not to believe in Allah, the Mighty. 33 And urged not on the feeding of the wretched. 34 “So he does not have any friend here this day.” 35 Nor any food save filthy corruption. 36 which no one will eat except the sinners. 37

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
