The Embryo (Al-Alaq)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
Read! In the Name of your Lord, Who has created (all that exists), 1 Created man from a clot. 2 Read! Your Lord is the Most Bountiful One 3 Who has taught (the writing) by the pen [the first person to write was Prophet Idrees (Enoch)]. 4 Taught man what he did not know. 5 Nay! Verily, man does transgress all bounds (in disbelief and evil deed, etc.). 6 whenever he believes himself to be self-sufficient: 7 However, (all things) will return to your Lord. 8 Have you seen the one who prohibits 9 A votary when he (turns) to pray? 10 Bethinkest thou, if he is himself guided, 11 Or enjoins righteousness? 12 Have you considered if he gives the lie to the truth and turns (his) back? 13 Knows he not that Allah does see (what he does)? 14 Nay! if he desist not, We would certainly smite his forehead, 15 A lying, sinful forehead. 16 Then let him call upon his henchmen! 17 We shall call the guards of Hell. 18 No indeed; do thou not obey him, and bow thyself, and draw nigh. ۩ 19
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
