The Quake (Al-Zalzalah)
8 verses, revealed in Medina after Women (Al-Nesaa) before Iron (Al-Hadeed)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
WHEN THE WORLD is shaken up by its cataclysm, 1 And the earth throws out its burdens, 2 And man says, “What has happened to it?” 3 That day she will relate her chronicles, 4 For that thy Lord will have given her inspiration. 5 That Day, the people will depart separated [into categories] to be shown [the result of] their deeds. 6 So whosoever does good equal to the weight of an atom (or a small ant), shall see it. 7 And whoever does an evil deed equal to the weight of the minutest particle, will see it. 8
True are the words of God the Almighty.
