In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ Alif, Lam, Meem, Sad. 1 A DIVINE WRIT has been bestowed from on high upon thee - and let there be no doubt about this in thy heart - in order that thou mayest warn [the erring] thereby, and [thus] admonish the believers: 2 Follow what has been revealed to you from your Lord and do not follow guardians besides Him, how little do you mind. 3 And how many a town that We destroyed, so Our punishment came to it by night or while they slept at midday. 4 And when Our punishment overtook them they had nothing to say except crying out: "We have indeed been sinners." 5 Then We will surely question those to whom [a message] was sent, and We will surely question the messengers. 6 Then We will surely relate [their deeds] to them with knowledge, and We were not [at all] absent. 7 On that Day, the weighing is true. He whose scales are heavy those are the prosperers, 8 And as for him whose measure (of good deeds) is light those are they who have made their souls suffer loss because they disbelieved in Our communications. 9 We established you in the earth and made for you a livelihood but little is it that you give thanks. 10

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
