T H (Taa Haa)
135 verses, revealed in Mecca after Mary (Maryam) before The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ Ta. Ha. 1 We have not sent down the Qur'an to thee to be (an occasion) for thy distress, 2 only as reminder for those who have fear (of disobeying God). 3 A revelation from Him Who created the earth and the high heavens, 4 (Allah) Most Gracious is firmly established on the throne (of authority). 5 To Him belongs what is in the heavens and what is on the earth and what is between them and what is under the soil. 6 If you speak loudly; He has indeed knowledge of the secret and the hidden. 7 Allah! no God there is but he! His are the names excellent. 8 And has the story of Musa come to you? 9 When he saw a fire, he said to his family: "Wait! Verily, I have seen a fire, perhaps I can bring you some burning brand therefrom, or find some guidance at the fire." 10 Then when he was come thereto, he was cried unto. O Musa! 11 Lo! I, even I, am thy Lord, So take off thy shoes, for lo! thou art in the holy valley of Tuwa. 12 I Myself have chosen you; therefore, give ear to what is revealed. 13 "Verily, I am Allah: There is no god but I: So serve thou Me (only), and establish regular prayer for celebrating My praise. 14 "Verily the Hour is coming - My design is to keep it hidden - for every soul to receive its reward by the measure of its Endeavour. 15 Let him who does not believe in it and follows his lust not turn your thought away from it, lest you are ruined. 16 And what is that in thy right hand, O Moses? 17 He answered: "It is my staff; I lean on it; and with it I beat down leaves for my sheep; and [many] other uses have I for it." 18 He said: "Moses, throw it down." 19 So he cast it down; and lo! it was a serpent running. 20 He said: Grasp it and fear not. We shall return it to its former state. 21 Now clasp thy hand to thy arm-pit; it shall come forth white, without evil. That is a second sign. 22 "In order that We may show thee (two) of our Greater Signs. 23 Go thou unto Fir'awn; verily he hath waxen exorbitant. 24
