The people of Aykah also gave the lie to the Messengers. 176 When Shu'aib said to them: "Will you not take heed? 177 Surely I am a faithful apostle to you; 178 So fear Allah and obey me. 179 I ask no recompense of you for this. My reward is due from none but the Lord of all the worlds. 180 ۞ “Measure in full, and do not be of those who reduce.” 181 Weigh on an even balance. 182 and diminish not the goods of the people, and do not mischief in the earth, working corruption. 183 "And fear Him Who created you and the generations of the men of old." 184 They said, 'Thou art merely one of those that are bewitched; 185 you are only a mortal like us. Indeed we believe that you are an utter liar. 186 Therefore cause a portion of the heaven to come down upon us, if you are one of the truthful. 187 He said, "My Lord knows all that you do." 188 But they cried him lies; then there seized them the chastisement of the Day of Shadow; assuredly it was the chastisement of a dreadful day. 189 Verily in that is a Sign: but most of them do not believe. 190 Surely thy Lord, He is the All-mighty, the All-compassionate. 191
