Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the (Winds) sent forth one after another (to man's profit); 1 storming tempestuously 2 By those which cause earth's vegetation to revive; 3 Then separate them, one from another, 4 and those (angels) dropping, reminding 5 To excuse or to warn, 6 BEHOLD, all that you are told to expect will surely come to pass. 7 When the stars lose their light, 8 When the heaven is cleft asunder; 9 And when the mountains are blown away; 10 and the appointed time to bring the Messengers together arrives, (then shall the promised event come to pass). 11 For what day has the term [of all this] been set? 12 For the Day of Judgement. 13 And what can make you know what is the Day of Judgement? 14 Woe on that day unto the beliers 15 Did We not destroy the ancients 16 So shall We make later generations to follow them. 17 Thus deal We ever with the guilty. 18 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 19 Did We not create you of a mean fluid, 20 Then We lodged you in a secure place (the womb) 21 until an appointed time? 22 See that We had the power to do so. Great indeed is Our power to do what We will. 23 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 24 Have We not caused the earth to hold within itself 25 Both for the living and the dead, 26 and have We not set on it proud, firm mountains, and given you sweet water to drink? 27 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 28 (It will be said to the disbelievers): "Depart you to that which you used to deny! 29 Go on towards the threefold shadow 30 "Neither shading, nor of any use against the fierce flame of the Fire." 31 which - behold! - will throw up sparks like [burning] logs, 32 like giant fiery ropes! 33 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 34 This is the day on which they shall not speak, 35 Nor shall they be permitted so that they might excuse themselves. 36 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 37 This is the Day of Judgement. We have assembled you all together with past generations. 38 If now ye have any wit, outwit Me. 39 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 40
