[O Men!] Are you more difficult to create than the heaven which He has built, 27 He raised its roof and made it proper. 28 and darkened its night, and brought forth its forenoon; 29 And after that, the earth: wide has He spread its expanse, 30 He brought forth from it its water and its pasturage. 31 And solidified the mountains. 32 As provision for you and your grazing livestock. 33 But when the great disaster cometh, 34 on the Day that man remembers what he strove for 35 And the Scorch will be made apparent to any one who beholdeth. 36 then as for whosoever was insolent 37 And preferred the life of this world (by following his evil desires and lusts), 38 Then surely the hell, that is the abode. 39 But as for him who feared standing before his Lord, and restrained himself from impure evil desires, and lusts. 40 most surely his abode shall be Paradise. 41 (Muhammad), they ask you, "When will the Hour of Doom come?" 42 What concern do you have to speak about that? 43 With thy Lord is the Limit fixed therefore. 44 Your duty is only to warn him who fears it. 45 On the day that they see it, it will be as though they had not tarried but the latter part of a day or the early part of it. 46
