The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
By the midday brightness 1 And by the night when it is stillest, 2 Your Lord has not forsaken you nor does He dislike you! 3 And surely what comes after is better for you than that which has gone before. 4 Your Lord will soon grant you sufficient favors to please you. 5 Did He not find thee an orphan, and shelter thee? 6 And found thee lost on thy way, and guided thee? 7 And found you in need, so made you prosperous? 8 So do not oppress the orphan, 9 And as for the petitioner, do not repel [him]. 10 And as to the favour of thine Lord, discourse thou thereof. 11
