Therefore (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), enlighten, for by the munificence of your Lord, you are neither a soothsayer nor a madman. 29 Or they allege, “He is a poet – we await a calamity of the times to befall him.” 30 Say thou: wait verily I am, with you, among the waiters. 31 Does their reasoning prompt them to this, or they are a people rebellious? 32 Do they say: “He has himself fabricated the Qur'an?” No; the truth is that they are altogether averse to believing. 33 Then let them produce speech the like thereof, if they are truthful. 34 Or were they created out of nothing? Or are they the creators? 35 Or did they create the heavens and the earth? Nay! they have no certainty. 36 Do they own the treasures of your Lord, or have they been given charge of them? 37 Or do they have a ladder whereon they can climb and attempt to listen (to what is transpiring in the Higher Realm)? Then, let any of them who has listened to it produce a clear proof of it. 38 Or has He only daughters and ye have sons? 39 Or do you (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him) ask any fee from them, so they are burdened with the penalty? 40 Or that the Ghaib (unseen) is with them, and they write it down? 41 Or do they desire a war? But those who disbelieve shall be the vanquished ones in war. 42 Or have they any god beside Allah? Glorified be Allah from all that they ascribe as partner (unto Him)! 43 Were they to see a piece of the sky falling (on them), they would (only) say: "Clouds gathered in heaps!" 44 So, leave them until they face their day (of doom) when they will be stunned. 45 Their deception will not avail them in the least on that day, nor will they be helped. 46 Truly, for those who do wrong there is a punishment besides that, though most of them do not know it. 47 So wait patiently for the Judgement of your Lord -- you are certainly under Our watchful eye. And glorify and celebrate the praises of your Lord when you rise up [from your sleep]. 48 And in the night also hallow Him, and at the setting of the stars. 49
