HAST THOU, then, ever considered him who turns away [from remembering Us, and cares for no more than the life of this world,] 33 Gives a little, then hardens (his heart)? 34 Hath he knowledge of the Unseen so that he seeth? 35 Or hath he not had news of what is in the books of Moses 36 And of Ibrahim (Abraham) who fulfilled (or conveyed) all that (what Allah ordered him to do or convey), 37 That no laden one shall bear another's load, 38 And that man will not obtain anything except what he strove for? 39 and that [the fruit of] his striving shall soon be seen; 40 and will be fully recompensed for his deeds. 41 To your Lord will all things eventually return. 42 That it is He who makes you happy and morose, 43 That it is He Who granteth Death and Life; 44 and that it is He who creates the two kinds - the male and the female 45 From Nutfah (drops of semen male and female discharges) when it is emitted; 46 And that only upon Him is the next revival? 47 And that it is He Who enricheth and preserveth property. 48 And that He only is the Lord of the star Sirius? 49 And that He destroyed the former 'A-ad. 50 And the Thamud nor gave them a lease of perpetual life. 51 And before them, the people of Noah, for that they were (all) most unjust and most insolent transgressors, 52 And the overturned towns He hurled down 53 and covered them with torment. 54 So, which of your Lord's bounties will you doubt?” 55 He (Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him) is a Herald of Warning, like the former Heralds of Warning. 56 The Imminent is near at hand; 57 There is no one to unveil it apart from God. 58 Do you then find these tidings strange? 59 Why do you laugh rather than weep? 60 Will you occupy yourselves simply in merriment? 61 But fall ye down in prostration to Allah, and adore (Him)! ۩ 62
