Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ NAY! I call to witness the Day of Resurrection! 1 But nay! I call to witness the accusing voice of man's own conscience! 2 Does man imagine that We will not be able to bring his bones together again? 3 Yes indeed; We are able to shape again his fingers. 4 Yet man wants to deny what is ahead of him: 5 He asks, "When is the Day of Resurrection?" 6 but when the sight is dazed 7 and the moon is darkened, 8 And the sun and the moon are joined, 9 On that Day man will say: "Where (is the refuge) to flee?" 10 No! There is no refuge. 11 With your Lord alone shall on that day be the place of rest. 12 Then man will be told what he had sent ahead (of good) and what he had left behind. 13 Aye! man against himself shall be an enlightenment. 14 even though they make excuses. 15 Do not move your tongue with it to make haste with it, 16 Surely its collection and recitation are Our responsibility. 17 So when We have read it, you should thereupon follow what is read. 18 Then indeed, to explain its details to you is upon Us. 19 Nay; the truth is that you love ardently (the good of this world) that can be obtained hastily, 20 And leave the Hereafter. 21 (Some) faces on that day shall be bright, 22 Looking toward their Lord. 23 And how many faces on that Day will be woe-begone 24 Imagining that there will befall them a waiste-breaking calomity. 25 Never so, for when life withdraws into the clavicula, 26 and it is said: “Is there any enchanter who can step forward and help (by his chanting)?” 27 and he realises that the hour of parting is come, 28 and is enwrapped in the pangs of death 29 To your Lord, that Day, will be the procession. 30
