In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the (Winds) sent forth one after another (to man's profit); 1 Which then blow violently in tempestuous Gusts, 2 and raise (clouds) and scatter them around, 3 then winnow them thoroughly, 4 And by the angels that bring the revelations to the Messengers, 5 As justification or warning, 6 Indeed, what you are promised is to occur. 7 Then the stars will lose their light. 8 And when the sky is split apart. 9 The mountains will be blown away as dust. 10 And when the messengers are (all) appointed a time (to collect);- 11 to what day shall they be delayed? 12 For the Day of Distinction [between the true and the false]! 13 How will you comprehend what the Day of Judgement is? 14 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 15 Did We not destroy the men of old (for their evil)? 16 and let the latter follow them? 17 Thus do We deal with the criminals. 18 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 19 Did We not create you out of a humble fluid 20 And We placed it in a firm lodging 21 For a period (of gestation), determined (according to need)? 22 We determined, how excellent a Determiner are We! 23 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 24 Made We not the earth to be a housing 25 Both for the living and the dead, 26 Have We not placed high mountains upon it and given you fresh water to drink? 27 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 28 (It will be said to the disbelievers): "Depart you to that which you used to deny! 29 Walk on to the covering having three branches, 30 that will offer no [cooling] shade and will be of no avail against the flame 31 it throws spits as (high as a huge) palace, 32 As though they were camels yellow tawny. 33 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 34 This is a Day they will not speak, 35 Nor shall they be permitted so that they might excuse themselves. 36 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth 37 This is the Day of Decision, We have assembled both ye and the ancients. 38 So if you have any plot to devise against Me, then devise it. 39 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 40

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
