Al-A'alaa
The All High (Al-A'alaa)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Rolling (Al-Takweer) before The Night (Al-Layl)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ Glorify the name of your Lord, the Most High, 1 Who createth, then disposeth; 2 And the One Who kept proper measure and then guided. 3 And Who bringeth out the (green and luscious) pasture, 4 then caused it to wither away. 5 We shall make you recite and then you will not forget, 6 save what God wills; surely He knows what is spoken aloud and what is hidden. 7 And We shall make easy unto thee the easy way. 8 So remind them if reminder is profitable: 9 Those who fear will understand. 10 But the wretched one will avoid it - 11 [He] who will [enter and] burn in the greatest Fire, 12 where he will neither die nor live. 13 But those will prosper who purify themselves, 14 And remembereth the name of his Lord, so prayeth, 15 Nay (behold), ye prefer the life of this world; 16 whereas the Hereafter is better and more enduring. 17 Indeed this is in the former scriptures. 18 The Scriptures of Ibrahim (Abraham) and Musa (Moses). 19
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
