Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the emissary winds, (sent) one after another 1 and then storming on with a tempest's force, 2 by (the angels) spreading (the words of God) far and wide, 3 Then separate them one from another, 4 and those (angels) dropping, reminding 5 As justification or warning, 6 surely that which you are promised is about to fall! 7 When the stars are extinguished, 8 And when the heaven is rent asunder, 9 and the mountains are blown away, 10 And when the messengers are (all) appointed a time (to collect);- 11 To which Day has this task been deferred? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 And what will explain to you what is the Day of sorting out? 14 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 15 Did We not destroy the former peoples? 16 So shall We make later generations to follow them. 17 So We serve the sinners. 18 On that day, woe upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 19 Did We not create you out of a humble fluid 20 We then kept it in a safe place. 21 For a known period (determined by gestation)? 22 For We do determine (according to need); for We are the best to determine (things). 23 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 24 Did We not make the earth a receptacle, 25 The living and the dead, 26 and did We not firmly fix towering mountains on it and give you sweet water to drink? 27 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 28 “Move towards what you used to deny!” 29 proceed towards the three-pronged shadow, 30 Neither shady nor protecting against the blazing Fire. 31 and throwing up sparks as huge as towers 32 like giant fiery ropes! 33 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 34 This is a day wherein they speak not, 35 Nor are they suffered to put forth excuses. 36 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 37 That will be a Day of Sorting out! We shall gather you together and those before (you)! 38 If you now have any conspiracy, carry it out on Me. 39 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 40
