The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By those (angels) who pull out (the souls of the disbelievers and the wicked) with great violence; 1 and move [in their orbits] with steady motion, 2 And who glide with ease. 3 Then those who are foremost going ahead, 4 And those who arrange [each] matter, 5 [HENCE, think of] the Day when a violent convulsion will convulse [the world,] 6 And there will follow it the next blast. 7 On that day hearts beat painfully 8 Cast down will be (their owners') eyes. 9 The disbelievers say, “Will we really return to our former state?” 10 After having turned to carious bones?" 11 They said, “So this return is an obvious loss!” 12 It will be only one scaring shout, 13 When, behold, they will be in the (full) awakening (to Judgment). 14 Hath there come unto thee the history of Moses? 15 When his Lord called to him in Tuwa's holy vale? 16 "Go unto Pharaoh - for, verily, he has transgressed all bounds of what is right 17 "And say to him, 'Wouldst thou that thou shouldst be purified (from sin)?- 18 that I may direct you to your Lord and then you hold Him in awe?'” 19 So he showed him the great sign, 20 But (the Pharaoh) disavowed and disobeyed. 21 Then he turned his back, striving hard (against Allah). 22 Then he collected (his men) and made a proclamation, 23 and said, "I am your Lord All-Highest!" 24 So God seized him for the punishment of the Hereafter and this world. 25 Lo! herein is indeed a lesson for him who feareth. 26
