Al-A'alaa
The All High (Al-A'alaa)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Rolling (Al-Takweer) before The Night (Al-Layl)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ Glorify the name of your Lord, the Most High, 1 Who has created (everything), and then proportioned it; 2 Who determines and directs, 3 And who brings out the pasture 4 Then turneth it to russet stubble. 5 We shall make you recite and then you will not forget, 6 save what God wills; surely He knows what is spoken aloud and what is hidden. 7 And We will make it easy for thee (to follow) the simple (Path). 8 Therefore give admonition in case the admonition profits (the hearer). 9 The admonition will be received by those who fear (Allah): 10 But the wretched one will avoid it - 11 Who will enter the Great Fire, 12 wherein they will neither live nor die. 13 He is successful who groweth, 14 and mentions the Name of his Lord, and prays. 15 But rather you prefer the life of this world! 16 Though the life to come is better and abiding. 17 Lo! This is in the former scrolls. 18 Writs of Ibrahim and Musa. 19
True are the words of God the Almighty.
