The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

Woe unto every slandering traducer, 1 who amasses wealth, counting it over, 2 He thinks that his wealth will make him immortal. 3 Nay, he shall be thrown into the Crusher. 4 And what will make you realize what the crushing disaster is? 5 It is the fire kindled by Allah, 6 Which mounteth up to the hearts. 7 covered down upon them, 8 in its long columns of flames. 9

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
