And We delivered the Children of Israel from the shameful doom; 30 They (had experienced) under the Pharaoh. He was certainly a tyrant, guilty of excess. 31 We knowingly chose them above all other people 32 And granted them Signs in which there was a manifest trial 33 Yet those who deny the truth say, 34 'There is nothing except the first death, we shall never be revived. 35 "Then bring back our fore-fathers, if you speak the truth!" 36 Are they, then, better than the people of Tubba and those before them, whom We destroyed because they were truly lost in [the same] sin? 37 And We did not create the heavens and the earth and what is between them in sport. 38 We created them not except for just ends: but most of them do not understand. 39 VERILY, the Day of Distinction [between the true and the false] is the term appointed for all of them: 40 The day when friend will help no friend in the least, nor will they be helped, 41 Save those on whom Allah will have mercy. Verily He! He is the Mighty, the Merciful. 42
