The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
22 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Sun (Al-Shams) before The Fig (Al-Teen)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
CONSIDER the sky full of great constellations, 1 By the Promised Day! 2 And the witness and the witnessed, 3 the people of the pit were destroyed 4 Full of fire fed by faggots, 5 while they sat around it, 6 and were themselves witnesses of what they did with the believers. 7 They had naught against them save that they believed in Allah, the Mighty, the Owner of Praise, 8 to Whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth. Allah witnesses everything. 9 Indeed those who troubled the Muslim men and Muslim women, and then did not repent – for them is the punishment of hell, and for them is the punishment of fire. 10 As for those who believed and acted righteously, theirs shall be Gardens beneath which rivers flow. That is the great triumph. 11 Verily, (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) the Grip (Punishment) of your Lord is severe. 12 it is He who begins and repeats [His creation], 13 He is the All-forgiving, the Most Loving One, 14 the Owner of the Throne, the Glorious One, 15 Doer of what He will. 16 Hath there come unto thee the story of the hosts 17 of Pharaoh and Thamud? 18 Yet the infidels persist in denial. 19 And Allah encompasses them on every side. 20 What is revealed to you is certainly a glorious Quran 21 (Preserved) on the guarded tablet. 22
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
