The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
I CALL TO witness the chargers, snorting, rushing to battle before the others, 1 Then those striking sparks of fire, 2 Then those charging in the morning 3 raising a trail of dust, 4 Cleaving, as one, the centre (of the foe), 5 Indeed, the human is ungrateful to his Lord. 6 And to that fact he bears witness (by his deeds); 7 Surely, he is ardent in his love of wealth. 8 ۞ Knoweth he not - when that which is in the graves shall be ransacked? 9 and all that is in the hearts is made public, 10 Most surely their Lord that day shall be fully aware of them. 11
