Al-Naze'aat 2 of 2
[O Men!] Are you more difficult to create than the heaven which He has built, 27 He lifted up its vault, and levelled it, 28 and covered its night with darkness and brought forth from it its day; 29 And after it spread out the earth. 30 and brought out of it its water and its pasture, 31 then set-up firmly the mountains. 32 A provision for you and for your cattle. 33 When the great calamity comes, 34 On that day man will recall all what he strove for. 35 and Hell is advanced for whoever sees, 36 anyone who has acted arrogantly 37 And had preferred the life of this world, 38 will find himself in Hell; 39 And for one who feared to stand before his Lord and restrained his soul from desire, 40 paradise will truly be the goal! 41 They ask you about the Hour: “When will it be?” 42 [But] how couldst thou tell anything about it, 43 [seeing that] with thy Sustainer alone rests the beginning and the end [of all knowledge] thereof? 44 Thou art but a warner unto him who feareth it. 45 On the day when they see it, it will seem to them as though they had only lived in the world for a morning and an afternoon. 46

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
