Al-Naml 6 of 7
And those who disbelieve say: when we have become dust, we and our fathers, shall we, for sooth, be brought forth? 67 We have certainly been promised this, we and our fathers before; these are naught but stories of the ancients 68 Say: "Go about through the earth and see what has been the end of the evil-doers." 69 And grieve you not for them, nor be straitened (in distress) because of what they plot. 70 They also say: "When will this promise (come to pass)? (Say) if ye are truthful." 71 Say thou: belike close behind you may be some of that which ye would hasten on. 72 And indeed, your Lord is full of bounty for the people, but most of them do not show gratitude." 73 Surely, your Lord knows what they hide in their hearts and what they reveal. 74 There is not a thing hidden in the heaven and earth except that it is in a Clear Book. 75 Surely this Koran relates to the Children of Israel most of that concerning which they are at variance; 76 it is a guidance, and a mercy unto the believers. 77 Surely thy Lord will decide between them by His Judgment; He is the All-mighty, the All-knowing. 78 So put thy trust in God; thou art upon the manifest truth. 79 You cannot make the dead to listen, or the deaf to hear the call, when they have turned their backs, 80 Nor do you guide the blind out of their error, nor do you make any to hear, except those who believe in Our verses and are Muslims. 81 ۞ And when the Word falls on them, We will bring out from the earth a beast that shall speak to them: 'Indeed the people were not certain of Our verses.' 82

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
