Noah cried to Us, and how excellent was Our response! 75 And We delivered him and his people from the great affliction. 76 and made his offspring the only ones to survive, 77 And We perpetuated to him (praise) among the later generations. 78 "Peace upon Noah among the worlds." 79 Thus do We reward the righteous ones. 80 Indeed, he was of Our believing servants. 81 We drowned the rest. 82 ۞ And verily of his sect was Ibrahim. 83 he came to his Lord with a sound heart. 84 "Behold!" he said to his father and to his people, "What are these that you worship? 85 Would you serve false deities instead of God? 86 What do you think of the Lord of the Worlds' 87 Then he cast a glance at the stars (to deceive them), 88 and he said, 'Surely I am sick.' 89 So turning their backs, they went away from him. 90 Then he turned to their gods, and said: 'What do you eat? 91 "What is the matter with you that you speak not?" 92 Then he slipped unto them striking them with the right hand. 93 Thereupon the people came running to him. 94 He said: Worship ye that which ye yourselves do carve 95 "But Allah has created you and your handwork!" 96 They said, "Build him a furnace, and throw him into the blazing fire!" 97 (This failing), they then sought a stratagem against him, but We made them the ones most humiliated! 98 And [Abraham] said: "Verily, I shall [leave this land and] go wherever my Sustainer will guide me!" 99 My Lord, give me one of the righteous.' 100 We gave him the good news that he would have a patient, forbearing son. 101 And when he reached the age when he could work with him, he said, "O my son, I have seen in a dream that I am sacrificing you. So tell me what you think of it!" He replied, "O my father, do as you are commanded; and God willing, you will find me steadfast." 102 When they both agreed and Abraham had lain down his son on the side of his face (for slaughtering), 103 We called to him, "Abraham, 104 “You have indeed made the dream come true”; and this is how We reward the virtuous. 105 That was indeed a trying test. 106 And We ransomed him with a great sacrifice, 107 And We kept his praise among the latter generations. 108 Peace be upon Abraham. 109 Thus do We reward the doers of good 110 Lo! he is one of Our believing slaves. 111 So We gave him the good news of Isaac, apostle, who is among the righteous. 112 and blessed him and Isaac too: some of their offspring were good, but some clearly sinned against their souls. 113
