Thorns (Al-Masad)

5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Key (Al-Faatehah) before The Rolling (Al-Takweer)

In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

May the hands of Abu Lahab be ruined, and ruined is he. 1 His wealth did not benefit him in the least, nor did whatever he earned. 2 he shall roast at a Flaming Fire, 3 And his wife [as well] - the carrier of firewood. 4 A twisted rope of palm-leaf fibre round her (own) neck! 5
