We also bestowed Our favour on Moses and Aaron: 114 And saved them and their people from the great distress, 115 And We helped them, so they were the vanquishers. 116 We gave them the enlightening Book, 117 and guided them in the straight path, 118 And We kept their praise among the latter generations. 119 "Peace upon Moses and Aaron." 120 Thus indeed do We reward those who do right. 121 they were among Our believing servants. 122 So also was Elias among those sent (by Us). 123 He asked his people: 'Do you not fear (Allah)? 124 "Will you call upon Ba'l (a well- known idol of his nation whom they used to worship) and forsake the Best of creators, 125 “Allah – Who is your Lord and the Lord of your forefathers?” 126 In response they denied him, so they will surely be brought forth as captives. 127 excepting only [those who were] God's true servants; 128 and him We left thus to be remembered among later generations: 129 Peace be upon Ilyas! 130 It is thus indeed that We reward those who do good: 131 Surely he was one of Our believing servants. 132 And indeed, Lot was among the messengers. 133 We saved him and all his kinsmen, 134 Except an old woman who was one of those who stayed behind. 135 and We destroyed the rest. 136 You pass by their ruins morning 137 And by night: will ye not understand? 138
