Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the loosed ones successively 1 By the raging hurricanes, 2 And those that revive by quickening, 3 And those [angels] who bring criterion 4 and those hurling a reminder 5 to serve as an excuse or a warning. 6 BEHOLD, all that you are told to expect will surely come to pass. 7 So when the stars are extinguished, 8 Heavens will rent asunder. 9 And when the mountains are blown away; 10 and when the Messengers' time is set, 11 To which Day has this task been deferred? 12 For the Day of sorting out (the men of Paradise from the men destined for Hell). 13 And what will explain to thee what is the Day of Sorting out? 14 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 15 Did We not destroy many a nation of the earlier times? 16 And We shall cause those of later times to follow them. 17 Thus do We deal with the sinful ones. 18 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 19 Have We not created you from a fluid (held) despicable?- 20 And We placed it in a firm lodging 21 For a known extent. 22 And We determined [it], and excellent [are We] to determine. 23 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 24 Made We not the earth to be a housing 25 for the living and the dead, 26 and have We not set on it proud, firm mountains, and given you sweet water to drink? 27 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 28 Proceed to that (the Day of Judgment) which you have rejected. 29 Go to the shadow with three ramifications, 30 “Which neither gives shade, nor saves from the flame.” 31 Verily it shall cast forth sparks like unto a castle. 32 As if they were yellowish [black] camels. 33 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 34 On that Day they will be speechless, 35 nor shall they be permitted to offer excuses. 36 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 37 This is the Day of Decision; We have gathered you and all the earlier men. 38 If you have any plans, use them. 39 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 40
