Messengers! Eat of that which is good and do good deeds; I have knowledge of the things you do. 51 “And indeed this religion of yours is one religion only and I am your Lord, therefore fear Me.” 52 The people divided themselves into many sects, each with their own book and each happy with whatever they had. 53 So leave them to their ignorance for a time. 54 Do they think that in giving them wealth and children 55 We hasten unto them with good things? Nay, but they perceive not. 56 Verily those who for fear of their Lord are in awe. 57 who have full faith in the Signs of their Lord; 58 who consider nothing equal to their Lord, 59 and those who give to others what has been bestowed upon them with their hearts trembling at the thought that they must return to their Lord; 60 It is these who hasten in every good work, and these who are foremost in them. 61 And We charge no soul except [with that within] its capacity, and with Us is a record which speaks with truth; and they will not be wronged. 62 But their hearts are in ignorance of this (Koran); and they have deeds besides that which they are doing. 63 Until when We seize their affluent ones with punishment, at once they are crying [to Allah] for help. 64 Cry not for succor this day; surely you shall not be given help from Us. 65 My verses had already been recited to you, but you were turning back on your heels 66 In arrogance; talking nonsense about the Quran, and left him like one telling fables by night. 67 Was it that you did not give any thought to it (the Quran)? Was it different from what was revealed to your fathers? 68 Or do they not recognize their Messenger, and so deny him? 69 Or do they say: "There is madness in him"? Nay, he has brought them the truth - and the truth do most of them detest! 70 Had the truth followed their fancies, the heavens, the earth, and all who live in them would have surely been corrupted. No, We brought them their Remembrance; but from their Remembrance they turn away. 71 (Do they disbelieve because) you asked them for payment? The reward that you will receive from your Lord is the best. He is the best Provider. 72 And verily, thou callest them onto a straight way 73 But those who believe not in the Hereafter turn away from the straight path. 74 ۞ And though We have mercy on them We may remove whatsoever of hurt is with them, surely they would persist in their exorbitance, wandering perplexed. 75 And indeed We seized them with punishment, but they humbled not themselves to their Lord, nor did they invoke (Allah) with submission to Him. 76 Until when We have opened before them a door of severe punishment, immediately they will be therein in despair. 77
