In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
I swear by (the angels) who stand in ranks, 1 Then those who drive away with reproof, 2 Then those who recite, being mindful, 3 Verily, most surely, your God is One 4 the Sustainer of the heavens and the earth and of all that is between them, and the Sustainer of all the points of sunrise! 5 We have adorned the lowest heaven with the beauty of the planets; 6 and to preserve against every rebel Satan; 7 (So) they should not strain their ears in the direction of the Exalted Assembly but be cast away from every side, 8 and driven away to suffer the necessary torment. 9 Some of them who stealthily steal words from the heavens are pursued by a glistening flame. 10 So ask them, are they stronger in constitution, or those whom We have created. We have created them of sticky clay. 11 Nay, but thou dost marvel when they mock 12 And when they are admonished, they receive not admonition. 13 And seek to scoff when they behold a portent. 14 And they say: Lo! this is mere magic; 15 What, when we are dead and become dust and bones, shall we be resurrected. 16 And so also shall our forefathers of yore be raised to life?” 17 Say thou: and verily ye; shall then be despicable. 18 It will be a single Zajrah [shout (i.e. the second blowing of the Trumpet)], and behold, they will be staring! 19 And say: "Ah woe! This is the Day of Reckoning." 20 [And they will be told:] "This is the Day of Distinction [between the true and the false - the Day] which you were wont to call a lie!" 21

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
