Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
By the emissary winds, (sent) one after another 1 By the raging hurricanes, 2 by the scatterers scattering 3 separating one from another, 4 And those that bring down the Reminder 5 To clear or to warn. 6 that whatever with which you have been warned will inevitably come to pass. 7 So when the lights of the stars are put out. 8 When the heaven is cleft asunder; 9 and when the mountains are scattered like dust, 10 And when the apostles are collected at the appointed time, 11 For what day is the time appointed? 12 Upon the Day of Decision! 13 And what knowest thou what the Day of Decision is? 14 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 15 Destroyed We not the ancients? 16 and make others settle after them in their land? 17 Thus do We deal with the Mujrimun (polytheists, disbelievers, sinners, criminals, etc.)! 18 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 19 Did We not create you from a weak water, 20 which We placed within a sure lodging 21 For a known term? 22 And We determined [it], and excellent [are We] to determine. 23 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 24 Have We not made the earth a housing 25 for the living and for the dead? 26 And We placed therein lofty, firmly set mountains and have given you to drink sweet water. 27 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 28 Proceed to that which you denied. 29 Depart unto the shadow falling threefold, 30 Neither shading nor availing against the flame. 31 it throws spits as (high as a huge) palace, 32 "As if there were (a string of) yellow camels (marching swiftly)." 33 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 34 This is the day on which they shall not speak, 35 Nor shall they be permitted so that they might excuse themselves. 36 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 37 This is the Day of Decision, We have assembled both ye and the ancients. 38 If you now have any conspiracy, carry it out on Me. 39 Woe on the day unto the beliers! 40
