The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
When the sun Kuwwirat (wound round and lost its light and is overthrown). 1 And when the stars fall, 2 When the mountains vanish (like a mirage); 3 And when the camels are left untended, 4 The wild beasts stampede on the run, 5 And when the seas are filled with flame 6 souls are reunited with their bodies, 7 And when the girl buried alive shall be asked: 8 for what sin she was killed, 9 And when the written pages of deeds (good and bad) of every person shall be laid open; 10 And when the heaven has its covering removed, 11 And when hell is lighted, 12 when Paradise is brought near, 13 then every soul will discover the consequence of its deeds. 14 I do not need to swear by the orbiting 15 Those that run [their courses] and disappear - 16 and the night as it darkly falls, 17 And by oath of the morning when it takes birth. 18 Most surely it is the Word of an honored messenger, 19 with strength endowed, secure with Him who in almightiness is enthroned 20 Obeyed and worthy there of trust. 21 For, this fellow-man of yours is not a madman: 22 in truth he saw him (Gabriel) on the clear horizon, 23 And he is of the unseen not a tenacious concealer. 24 And it (the Quran) is not the word of the outcast Shaitan (Satan). 25 So where are you going? 26 It is nothing but Good Counsel for everyone in the world, 27 (With profit) to whoever among you wills to go straight: 28 And ye shall not will unless it be that Allah, the Lord of the worlds, willeth. 29
