And a sign to them is the dead earth: We give life to it and bring forth from it grain so they eat of it. 33 We made in it gardens of date-palms and vines, and We caused springs to gush forth 34 That they may eat of the fruit thereof; and their hands worked it not. Will they not, therefore, give thanks? 35 Exaltations to Him who created pairs of all the things the earth produces and of themselves, and that of which they have no knowledge. 36 Of the signs for them is how We separated the day from the night and thus they remained in darkness; 37 And the sun runs [on course] toward its stopping point. That is the determination of the Exalted in Might, the Knowing. 38 And We have appointed positions for the moon till it returns like an old branch of the date palm. 39 It is not allowable for the sun to reach the moon, nor does the night overtake the day, but each, in an orbit, is swimming. 40 how We carried them and their offspring inside the laden Ark 41 And We have created for them of the like thereunto, so on them they ride. 42 We drown them if We will, then they have none to cry to, nor can they be saved, 43 Except by way of Mercy from Us, and by way of (world) convenience (to serve them) for a time. 44 And when it is said to them: Guard against what is before you and what is behind you, that mercy may be had on you. 45 Never does any Sign of their Lord come to them, but they turn away from it. 46 And when it is said to them, "Spend from that which Allah has provided for you," those who disbelieve say to those who believe, "Should we feed one whom, if Allah had willed, He would have fed? You are not but in clear error." 47 The unbelievers say, "When will the Day of Judgment come if what you say is at all true?" 48 They will not (have to) wait for aught but a single Blast: it will seize them while they are yet disputing among themselves! 49 So they shall not be able to make a bequest, nor shall they return to their families. 50
