And We verily gave grace unto Moses and Aaron, 114 And We saved them and their people from the great distress; 115 We helped them and they were victorious. 116 and We gave them the Manifesting Book, 117 And showed them the right path. 118 And We left for the twain among the posterity: 119 "Peace upon Moses and Aaron." 120 This is how We reward those who do good: 121 Lo! they are two of Our believing slaves. 122 And lo! Elias was of those sent (to warn), 123 When he said unto his folk: Will ye not ward off (evil)? 124 Do you call on Baal, and abandon the Best of creators? 125 God, your Lord, and the Lord of your fathers?" 126 but they rejected him, and thus will certainly be called to account; 127 Except the chosen creatures of God. 128 We preserved a good name for him among posterity. 129 "Peace be upon Elijah and his followers!" 130 Thus do We reward the good-doers. 131 Verily, he was one of Our believing slaves. 132 And indeed, Lot was among the messengers. 133 We saved him and all his people, 134 Except an old woman who was among those who lagged behind: 135 Then We destroyed the others. 136 You pass by them in the morning 137 and by night. عند قراءة القرآن الملون في وضعية اللغة العربية المرسومة بالأحرف الإنجليزية، قد لا تلاحظ وجود منظومة برمجية مصممة لمطابقة متطلبات علامات الوقف في النص العربي الأصلي. فكما تعلم، يحتوي القرآن على خمسة أنواع رئيسية من علامات الوقف. (1) وقف لازم، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي نقطة وقف. (2) وقف جائز مع الوقف أولى، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال الثلثين. When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
