And remember Our servant Job, when he called to his Lord, "Indeed, Satan has touched me with hardship and torment." 41 'Stamp thy foot! This is a laving-place cool, and a drink.' 42 We gave him back his family and doubled their number as a blessing from Us and as a reminder to the people of understanding. 43 We told him, "Take a handful of straw. Strike your wife with it to fulfill your oath." We found him to be patient. What an excellent servant he was. He was certainly most repenting. 44 And remember Our slaves, Ibrahim (Abraham), Ishaque (Isaac), and Ya'qub (Jacob), (all) owners of strength (in worshipping Us) and (also) of religious understanding. 45 Lo! We purified them with a pure thought, remembrance of the Home (of the Hereafter). 46 And in Our sight, they are indeed the chosen ones, the beloved. 47 And remember Ismail and Yasa’a (Elisha) and Zul-Kifl; and they are all excellent. 48 This is an admonition, and verily for the God-fearing is a happy retreat: 49 the Gardens of Eden whose gates shall be open to them, 50 Reclining on pillows, in it they ask for fruits and drinks in plenty. 51 ۞ And beside them will be chaste females (virgins) restraining their glances only for their husbands, (and) of equal ages. 52 This is the promise being given to you, for the Day of Reckoning. 53 Truly such will be Our Bounty (to you); it will never fail;- 54 But the arrogant will have the worst return: 55 Hell, where they will be roasted. An evil place to dwell! 56 This, [then, for them] so let them taste it: burning despair and ice-cold darkness 57 And other similar torments. 58 This is a crowd rushing in along with you; no welcome for them; verily they are to roast in the Fire. 59 They say: Nay, but you (misleaders), for you there is no word of welcome. Ye prepared this for us (by your misleading). Now hapless is the plight. 60 They will say, "Our Lord, whoever brought this upon us - increase for him double punishment in the Fire." 61 They will say to one another: “But why do we not see those whom we considered him among the wicked? 62 and whom we mocked? Have they been rescued or can our eyes not find them?" 63 Verily, that is the very truth, the mutual dispute of the people of the Fire! 64
