The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ (Allah) Most Gracious! 1 has imparted this Qur'an [unto man]. 2 He created man. 3 He hath taught him utterance. 4 The sun and the moon follow a reckoning, 5 And the herbs (or stars) and the trees both prostrate. 6 and heaven -- He raised it up, and set the Balance. 7 That ye exceed not the measure, 8 And establish the measures justly, nor decrease the due weight. 9 He positioned the earth for all the creatures: 10 In which are fruits, and covered dates. 11 and grain growing tall on its stalks, and sweet-smelling plants. 12 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny? 13 He created man of clay like the potter's, 14 And He created Jinns from fire free of smoke: 15 So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? 16 Lord of the two easts and of the two wests is He. 17 So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? 18 He let forth the two seas that meet together, 19 Between them is a barrier [so] neither of them transgresses. 20 Which then of the bounties of your Lord will you deny? 21 Pearls and corals come forth from both of them. 22 (Jinn and mankind) - which of the favors of your Lord would you then deny? 23 Also, His are the ships that run, raised up like mountains upon the sea. 24 Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny? 25
