Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
I swear by the emissary winds, sent one after another (for men's benefit), 1 which then blow tempestuously 2 by (the angels) spreading (the words of God) far and wide, 3 And those that distinguish distinctly, 4 And those [angels] who deliver a message 5 To complete the argument or to warn. 6 Surely that which ye are promised will befall. 7 When the stars lose their light, 8 and when the sky is rent asunder 9 And when the mountains are carried away by wind. 10 and when the Messengers' time is set, 11 to what day shall they be delayed? 12 For the Day of sorting out (the men of Paradise from the men destined for Hell). 13 What will explain to you what the Day of Judgement is? 14 On that day, woe will be to those who have rejected God's revelations! 15 Did We not destroy [so many of] those [sinners] of olden days? 16 We will now cause the later ones to follow them: 17 This is how We deal with the guilty. 18 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 19 Did We not create you from an abject fluid? 20 Then We lodged you in a secure place (the womb) 21 Till a limit known? 22 Thus We arranged. How excellent is Our arranging! 23 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle, 25 For the living and the dead, 26 and have We not set on it proud, firm mountains, and given you sweet water to drink? 27 On that Day (of Judgment) woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 28 Walk on to that which you called a lie. 29 Depart unto the shadow falling threefold, 30 Neither having the coolness of the shade nor availing against the flame. 31 it indeed throws up sparks like castles, 32 As though they were camels yellow tawny. 33 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 34 This is a Day whereon they shall not be able to speak. 35 And permission shall not be given to them so that they should offer excuses. 36 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 37 That is the Day of Judgement on which We have assembled you as well as all those who went before you. 38 So if you have any plot to devise against Me, then devise it. 39 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 40
