He said: O my Lord! Expand my breast for me, 25 “And make my task easy for me.” 26 and loosen the knot from my tongue 27 (That) they may understand my word; 28 "And give me a Minister from my family, 29 Aaron, my brother. 30 to support me. 31 “And make him a partner in my task.” 32 "That we may celebrate Thy praise without stint, 33 And remember you a great deal. 34 Verily, Thou seest all that is within us!" 35 Said He, 'Thou art granted, Moses, thy petition. 36 Indeed, We showed Our favour to you before also, 37 “When We inspired in your mother’s heart whatever was to be inspired.” 38 Saying: Throw him into the ark, and throw it into the river, then the river shall throw it on to the bank, and there an enemy to Me and an enemy to him shall take him. And I endued thee with love from Me that thou mightest be trained according to My will, 39 Your sister went (to them) and said: 'Shall I guide you to one who will nurse him' And so We restored you to your mother, so that her eyes might rejoice and that she might not sorrow. And when you killed a soul We saved you from grief and then We tried you with many trials. You stayed among the people of Midian for a number of years, and then, Moses, you came here according to a decree. 40 for I have chosen thee for Mine Own service. 41 Go thou and thy brother with My signs, and slacken not in remembrance of Mine. 42 Go, both of you to Pharaoh, for he has transgressed all bounds. 43 Then speak to him a gentle word haply he may mind or fear. 44 The twain said: O our Lord! verily we fear that he may hasten against us or wax exorbitant. 45 He said: "Fear not: for I am with you: I hear and see (everything). 46 So go you both to Pharaoh, and say, "We are the Messengers of thy Lord, so send forth with us the Children of Israel and chastise them not; we have brought thee a sign from thy Lord; and peace be upon him who follows the guidance! 47 It has been revealed to us that punishment will befall him who denies and turns away. 48 Pharaoh said, "Who then is the Lord of you both, Moses?" 49 He said: "Our Lord is He Who gave everything its form and then guided it." 50 Pharaoh asked, "What about the previous generations?" 51 Moses said: "Its knowledge is with my Lord, recorded in the Book. My Lord does not err, nor does He forget." 52 [It is He] who has made for you the earth as a bed [spread out] and inserted therein for you roadways and sent down from the sky, rain and produced thereby categories of various plants. 53 So eat yourself and pasture your cattle. Surely there are many Signs in this for people of understanding. 54
