Noah cried to Us, and how excellent was Our response! 75 And We delivered him and his people from the great affliction. 76 And We preserved his descendants. 77 And left for him among the later folk (the salutation): 78 "Peace upon Noah among the worlds." 79 That is how We reward those who do good. 80 For he was one of our believing Servants. 81 Then the rest we overwhelmed in the Flood. 82 ۞ And indeed Ibrahim is from his (Nooh’s) group. 83 When he came to his Lord, with a sound heart. (Free from falsehood). 84 When he said to his father and to his people: "What is it that which you worship? 85 Is it falsehood [as] gods other than Allah you desire? 86 What, then, do you think of the Sustainer of all the worlds?" 87 Then he looked at the stars, looking up once, 88 And said: "I am sick (of what you worship)!" 89 But they turned their backs on him and went away. 90 Then he turned aside to their gods secretly and said: What! do you not eat? 91 What aileth you that ye speak not? 92 And he turned upon them smiting them with his right hand. 93 Then they advanced toward him, hastening. 94 Said he: What! do you worship what you hew out? 95 While Allah created you and that which you do?" 96 They said: Build for him a furnace, then cast him into the burning fire. 97 So they contrived a plot against him, but We made them abject. 98 He said: 'I will go to my Lord; He will guide me. 99 (And he prayed:) "O Lord, grant me a righteous son." 100 So We gave him the good news of a boy ready to suffer and forbear. 101 and when he was old enough to go about and work with him, (one day) Abraham said to him: “My son, I see in my dream that I am slaughtering you. So consider (and tell me) what you think.” He said: “Do as you are bidden. You will find me, if Allah so wills, among the steadfast.” 102 And when they had both submitted and he put him down upon his forehead, 103 We called to him, "O Abraham, 104 “You have indeed made the dream come true”; and this is how We reward the virtuous. 105 That was indeed a clear trial. 106 And We ransomed him with a great sacrifice (i.e. a ram); 107 and left for him among the later folk 108 "Peace upon Abraham." 109 Thus indeed do We reward those who do right. 110 Lo! he is one of Our believing slaves. 111 And we gave him tidings of the birth of Isaac, a prophet of the righteous. 112 And We blessed him and Isaac. But among their descendants is the doer of good and the clearly unjust to himself. 113
