Elucidated (Fussilat)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
Ha Mim! 1 This is a revelation from the Most Merciful, the Most Compassionate, 2 A Book whose verses have been detailed, an Arabic Qur'an for a people who know, 3 Giving good news and admonition: yet most of them turn away, and so they hear not. 4 They say, 'Our hearts are veiled from what thou callest us to, and in our ears is a heaviness, and between us and thee there is a veil; so act; we are acting!' 5 Say (unto them O Muhammad): I am only a mortal like you. It is inspired in me that your Allah is One Allah, therefor take the straight path unto Him and seek forgiveness of Him. And woe unto the idolaters, 6 Those who practise not regular Charity, and who even deny the Hereafter. 7 Indeed, those who believe and do righteous deeds - for them is a reward uninterrupted. 8
