The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By heaven and the night-star! 1 what do you know what the night-visitor is? 2 (It is) the piercing star. 3 There is no soul but that it has over it a protector. 4 Let man reflect on what he was created from. 5 Created from a gushing fluid. 6 Coming from between the back and the ribs. 7 Surely He is able to bring him back 8 On the day when hidden thoughts shall be searched out. 9 (Man) will have no power, and no helper. 10 So I call to witness the rain-producing sky, 11 And by the earth which splitteth, 12 Behold this is the Word that distinguishes (Good from Evil): 13 And it is not a thing for amusement. 14 Lo! they plot a plot (against thee, O Muhammad) 15 but I too plan against them. 16 Give respite to the disbelievers and leave them alone for a while. 17
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
