The dwellers in El-Hijr cried lies to the Envoys. 80 And We gave them Our communications, but they turned aside from them; 81 notwithstanding that they had been wont [to enjoy Our blessings and] to hew out dwellings from the mountains, [wherein they could live] in security 82 So the scream overcame them at morning. 83 Out of what they had gained, nothing proved to be of any benefit to them. 84 And We have not created the heavens and the earth and all that is between them, except with the Truth; and indeed the Last Day will come, therefore (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), forbear graciously. 85 Lo! Thy Lord! He is the All-Wise Creator. 86 And assuredly We have vouchsafed unto thee seven of the repetitions and the mighty Qur'an. 87 Do not direct your eyes towards the things We have given to some of their couples to enjoy, and do not at all grieve because of them, and take the Muslims within the folds of your mercy. 88 And say: "I am a distinct warner," 89 (We have given you the Quran) as We had given (the Bible) to those who divided themselves into groups 90 Who have made the Quran into parts. (i.e. believed in a part and disbelieved in the other). 91 So by your Lord, We will surely question them all 92 For all their deeds. 93 Proclaim then, what you are commanded and turn away from the unbelievers. 94 We suffice thee against the mockers, 95 who set up another god with God, but they shall soon learn. 96 And We already know that your breast is constrained by what they say. 97 But glorify your Lord with His praise, and prostrate yourself: 98 Worship your Lord until you achieve the ultimate certainty. 99
