The Poets (Alshu'araa')

227 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah) before The Ant (Al-Naml)

In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

۞ TaSeenMeem. 1 These are verses of the Book that makes (things) clear. 2 Wouldst thou, perhaps, torment thyself to death [with grief] because they [who live around thee] refuse to believe [in it]? 3 If We list, We can send down unto them a sign from the heaven so that their necks would become to it submissive. 4 Whenever there comes to them any fresh warning from the Merciful, they always turn their backs on it: 5 They have called (our revelation) lies. They will soon learn the consequences of what they mocked. 6 Do they not observe the earth, how much of every good kind We cause to grow therein? 7 Surely there is a Sign in this, but most of them would not believe. 8 And verily, thy Lord is He, the Exalted in Might, Most Merciful. 9
