I shall receive my reward from the Lord of the Universe. 145 Shall ye be left secure in that which is here before us. 146 In gardens and watersprings. 147 and fields, and [these] palm-trees with slender spathes? 148 carving comfortable houses out of the mountains? 149 "But fear Allah and obey me; 150 And obey not the command of the prodigal, 151 Who work corruption in the land and rectify not. 152 They said: "Surely you are deluded. 153 Thou art but a human being like unto us. So bring thou a sign if thou art of the truth-tellers. 154 He said: "Here is a she-camel; it has a right to drink (water), and you have a right to drink (water) (each) on a day, known. 155 And do not touch her with evil, lest the punishment of a grievous day should overtake you. 156 They slew the she-camel, but later became regretful 157 And the punishment seized them. Indeed in that is a sign, but most of them were not to be believers. 158 And indeed your Lord only He is the Almighty, the Most Merciful. 159

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
