The dwellers of the wood belied the sent ones. 176 When Shu'eyb said unto them: Will ye not ward off (evil)? 177 “I am indeed a trustworthy Noble Messenger of Allah to you.” 178 So fear Allah, and obey me. 179 “And I do not ask from you any fee for it; my reward is only upon the Lord Of The Creation.” 180 ۞ "[Always] give full measure, and be not among those who [unjustly] cause loss [to others]; 181 "And weigh with scales true and upright. 182 "And withhold not things justly due to men, nor do evil in the land, working mischief. 183 And guard against (the punishment of) Him who created you and the former nations. 184 They said: thou art but of the bewitched; 185 And thou art but a human being like unto us, and we deem thee to be of the liars. 186 So cause a piece of the sky to fall upon us if you are truthful." 187 He said: 'My Lord knows what you are doing' 188 But they rejected him. Then the punishment of a day of overshadowing gloom seized them, and that was the Penalty of a Great Day. 189 Verily in that is a Sign: but most of them do not believe. 190 And most surely your Lord is Mighty, the Merciful. 191
