By no means shall you attain to righteousness until you spend (benevolently) out of what you love; and whatever thing you spend, Allah surely knows it. 92 ۞ All food was lawful to the children of Israel except that which Israel had forbidden to himself, before the Taurat was revealed. Say: Bring then the Taurat and read it, if you are truthful. 93 Whoever ascribes falsehood to God despite of all the evidence is unjust. 94 Say: "God has spoken the truth: follow, then, the creed of Abraham, who turned away from all that is false, and was not of those who ascribe divinity to aught beside God." 95 The first House of God to be set up for men was at Bakkah the blessed, a guidance for the people of the world. 96 In it there are clear signs and the station of Abraham; whoever enters it becomes secure. Pilgrimage to the House is a duty owed to Allah by all who can make their way to it. As for those who refuse to follow His command, surely Allah does not stand in need of anything. 97 (Muhammad), ask the People of the Book, "Why do you deny the revelations of God when He is Well-Aware of your dealings?". 98 Say: O People of the Scripture! Why drive ye back believers from the way of Allah, seeking to make it crooked, when ye are witnesses (to Allah's guidance)? Allah is not unaware of what ye do. 99 O believers, if you obey a sect of those who have been given the Book, they will turn you, after you have believed, into unbelievers. 100 How could you turn back to disbelief when the words of God are recited to you and you have in your midst His Messenger? Those who seek the protection of God will certainly be guided to the right path. 101
