The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
CONSIDER those [stars] that rise only to set, 1 By the angels who release with gentle release. 2 by the angels who float (in the heavens by the will of God), 3 And then they speed with foremost speed. 4 And by those angels who arrange to do the Commands of their Lord, (so verily, you disbelievers will be called to account). 5 The day the convulsive (first blast) shatters convulsively 6 Followed by oft-repeated (commotions): 7 Many a heart will flutter on that day! 8 Their looks will be downcast. 9 They say, "What? shall we be brought back to life, 10 even after we are fragmented bones' 11 They will say: 'Then we are returned lost' 12 [But,] then, that [Last Hour] will be [upon them of a sudden, as if it were] but a single accusing cry 13 When, behold, they will be in the (full) awakening (to Judgment). 14 Has the story of Moses reached thee? 15 Recall what time his Lord called unto him in the holy vale of Tuwa. 16 'Go to Pharaoh; he has waxed insolent. 17 "And say to him, 'Wouldst thou that thou shouldst be purified (from sin)?- 18 Then I shall guide thee unto thy Lord so that thou shalt fear. 19 Moses showed him the great sign, 20 but the Pharaoh rejected it and disobeyed (Moses). 21 Then he turned back striving. 22 So he gathered the people, and proclaimed. 23 Yet to a rich man, 24 So Allah seized him with the punishment of the Everlasting Life, and of this world. 25 Verily herein is lesson for him who feareth. 26
