The Shocker (Al-Qaare'ah)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Quraish (Quraish) before Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
Al-Qari'ah (the striking Hour i.e. the Day of Resurrection), 1 What is the startling calamity? 2 Would that you knew what the crash is! 3 A day wherein mankind will be as thickly-scattered moths 4 and the mount-ains like tufts of carded wool. 5 Then he whose deeds shall weigh heavier in the scale 6 shall inherit a pleasing life, 7 And for one whose scales prove light, 8 his head will be in the Plunging 9 What shall let you know what the Plunging is? 10 It is a Fire, intensely hot. 11
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
